I think the biggest “achievement” of social media is that it so cleverly exploited human being’s desire to be validated through admiration from others. I now see it as a form of self-advertisement. You know very well what they’re selling — the idea of happiness taken straight from a textbook. As for the real happiness? It already lives within us — everyone of us, coupled or single — from the moment we were born. We just need to let it reveal itself.
