I couldn’t have said it better, Bonnie! The thing is men who are intimidated by confident, “have it all together” women almost never admit it. The guy who said it out loud that you have your acts too together is rare. Even guys who seemed to be so into the confidence of the women they were dating often fade away when they found out just how “together” the women are and in comparison, they are not. I totally agree that a lot of men are into the idea of confident women but not the reality of it. The thing is they often don’t know themselves enough to know their real feelings. Like you, I will never stop being who I am but we may need to wait for the kind of men who truly love women who don’t need them but want them.
