I think you’re doing everything right. I’m the exact same as you: hate Snapchat filters; swipe left for those with bathroom selfies (I think this might be the male equivalent of the duck face) and don’t do the pre-meet calls. I did it once because the guy insisted and it felt like an interview. Never works out. The only thing I want to say is — I used to live in NYC (now in NJ like you) but I was totally open to dating someone from NJ. I think putting so much emphasis on geographic convenience is just silly. But that might just be me — I agree that most women in Manhattan especially have the snobby attitude towards any guy who doesn’t live there-even Brooklyn is considered “too far”.
