Oh Bonnie. That’s the story of my life! The problem with online dating is that it somehow makes people think that it’s okay to forget basic human decency. If you have no intention of following through on the hypothetical date, you should at least tell the person as soon as possible! My therapist back in the day told me to treat it as the lottery. You can play occasionally but never expect to win anything. You may hit the jackpot or you may not. The sad thing is — most of everything can be earned through hard work but love cannot be earned in any way. It just happens in the most mysterious ways and totally out of our control.
