Such a cute story! You basically told the principle of “you’ll meet the one when you least expect it” with your own story. This has been true for me as well — whenever I was trying to meet someone, either in a social setting or dating apps- nothing ever happened. The situation you described happens very infrequently, at least for myself, but when that happens, I fall hard and fast in love (and I am glad I have been madly in love). However, in a society as fast-paced as ours, people become increasingly impatient for everything, including dating. They want instant gratification so they don’t want to just let the next love happen. I definitely am guilty of this and tried everything that there is out there to meet someone. It’s not until recently that I realized I need to just let go — truly let go of making dating a priority and just enjoy life doing what makes myself happiest.
