Thank you for reading. The U.S. immigration system makes it very difficult for foreign nationals to even get visas, let alone becoming citizens. I think it’s a good thing that the U.S. government wants quality immigrants, but I agree that there’s so much room for improvement in the process. Imagine the dilemma when both your relatives at home and friends from America asked you why you still haven’t gotten citizenship when all you have been doing for the past 10 years was working your butt off and figuring out a way you can get that coveted green card. Citizenship is still 5 years away after getting the green card, by the way. It is not so much about luck — we surely have an unnecessarily convoluted system here that needs much reform.
