There’s so much truth to this. Next time when someone asks me why I’m still single, I’m going to try something like “why do you assume people who lives a different lifestyle than you do are unhappy?” I bet most of them will shut up. I know that most people mean no harm when they ask this, but we need to start challenging the status quo more vocally in order to get people to think before they speak.

Just like not everyone will live to the same age before they die, not everyone finds love at the “expected age” that society imposes upon us. Not everyone who got out of a relationship is looking to date again like not being coupled up is a disease they need to get rid of as quickly as possible. Thank you for this great article!
