This piece rings so true to me. I’ve always had trouble with striking the balance between trying too hard to make things work and not giving enough time for things to work. I know the best relationship has ups and downs but also the general feeling should be good from the get go. I think your years of dating experience has made you aware of who really works for you. Of course, that annoying “what if” always messes with our head when things aren’t really right from the beginning. Why doesn’t the universe just assign a compatible partner to everyone of us so we don’t have to play this endless game :)?
