While I respect your opinion and what you described might be true to some heterosexual relationships, I don’t see how it represents 90% of the situation. Most urban women in our country work and are financially independent — not sure if you’re referring to our alimony system where men are frequently ordered to pay spousal support if their soon-to-be ex-wives earns significantly less than they do, which is highly flawed in my opinion. In general, I support not blaming either gender on causing relationship problems — it’s more important to examine how we can make our relationships better by communicating effectively. If you feel that your partner is not “giving”, perhaps the best way is to talk it out and see how you two can work better as a team.
